ell us about yourself:
Where were you born? What is your
ancestry?
I was born on July 13, 1988, in the City
of San Salvador, but from the second
day I was born I got, we went to live to
my beloved land Sonsonate, in west-
ern El Salvador. My mother and father
were born in San Salvador, Salvador.
My mother grew up in Sonsonate; that
is where my maternal grandparents
decided to star their family since my
great-grandparents already had prop-
erty and business there. The family
of my paternal grandmother is from
Jocoro, Morazán, which is the land of
fire. I am very proud that thru my veins
runs the blood of the three zones of
El Salvador, the western, eastern
and central which makes me a pure
guanaco.
Who is Maytee Iraheta in the every-
day life? What do you do?
In my everyday life? I will be working,
(she laughs). I am a very active wom-
an, but in this day off out of the stress,
I am a very practical woman. I am very
plain and simple in my tastes; I love
being with my family, I enjoy my visits
to Sonsonate, I love to stroll around
El Salvador. Usually, I try not to use
much makeup, and I love flat shoes ,
I’m a chameleon says my mother, and
I love that the change depends on the
event, or work context, but as a family,
I’m the same as when I was little.
What did you study?
I finished my High School in 2004 from
the College Sn Francis of Assisi, I got
the first academic place, and with the
recognition of Franciscan Leader. I
graduated with a degree in law from
the University Dr. José Matías Del-
gado. I have several etiquette studies,
computing and leadership, among
others, and I recently graduated from
the Diploma of Etiquette and Protocol
from the Technological University of El
Salvador.
Do you have a boyfriend? If you do,
How did you two meet?
He is not my boyfriend anymore, he
is my “fiancé” (she laughs), his name
is Ricardo Reinosa, I know him since
the age of four. We went to the same
school when we were little, our fami-
lies are friends, and he was my sister’s
best friend, in conclusion: lifetime!
You have told us you are engaged,
but imagine you are alone and want
to conquer a friend’s heart, which
you invited to go dancing. How do
you do it? What say and do things
that night that was totally romantic?
I am one of the women who always
liked to be court by the boy who seeks
to conquer my heart. I enjoy that very
much. Now if the responsibility falls on
me, I would go dancing with a cute,
sexy dress, but I will leave all to the
imagination. I will wear an impeccable
and tender make-up. I love to laugh,
so I will seek fun topics of conversa-
tion, and would not be long in one
place. I would rather go to a restaurant
with dim lights and soft music, where
we could talk, and get to know each
other, so we can have a something in
common to talk later.
What sports do you like? Which
ones do you practice?
I love to go out walking and running,
at least some days of the week, do not
have much free time, but it is a chance
to bounce out the stress.
When did you start modeling?
I started in beauty events at the age
of 13, not modeling, and from that
moment on, I discovered that I loved
to represent an institution, a place and
my country. It is a big responsibility,
and I had important position as the
Queen of the Festival Sonsonate in
2004, I was the Queen of the National
Lions Club of El Salvador, El Salvador
Latina 2008, and Queen of the Fes-
tival of San Salvador 2010, among
others.
