Man of Steel (2013)
Superman has a nickname now. This
is the remake of Christopher Reeve’s
Superman: The Movie (1978), with
added features, but same core signifi-
cance, the alien little kid that doesn’t
know what happen to his planet, and
is learning to accept that he’s different
from the other children, at the same
time, dealing with the challenges and
tribulations that comes with becoming
a man, and the responsibility of being
the human race champion and savior.
Even though, Reeve is the best super-
man ever, Mark Cavill makes a really
close second place. Also with a good
cast that includes, Russell Crowe, Di-
ane Lane and Amy Adams to mention
a few. Superman returned, changed
his name and is here to stay.
Spiderman 2 (2004)
An Academy Award winner for Best
Visual Effects in 2005. In my opinion
(professional at that!!!), have the best
scene that can be found in a superhe-
ro movie; Spiderman (Tobey Maguire)
trying to stop an out of control train,
while fighting Dr. Octopus (Alfred Moli-
na) and the people standing up behind
an unmasked Peter Parker, classic!!!
The Dark Knight (2008)
“Why so serious?” not, for real. This is the best
of the best; Director Christopher Nolan’s Sistine
Chapel ceiling. Heath Ledger was the ultimate
villain, and that’s why he won (posthumously)
an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Support-
ing Role in 2009 for his performance. His father,
mother and sister accepted the award. The Joker
really brought Gotham’s night vigilante dark side
out, and gave way to the movie success. And
again a lot of superstars came together for this
masterpiece: Michael Caine, Aaron Eckhart, Mag-
gie Gyllenhaal, and Gary Oldman to name a few.
This movie also won an Oscar for Best Sound
Editing.
