n the middle of the vineyards next
to the Andes, in Mendoza, an Argentinean
western city, Daniel Caroglio who is the
owner of a house built in the late 1800s
and where is having the photo shoot taken
place, welcomed us with a broad smile and
a honest hand shake.
The heated of summer South America got
hotter with the spicy photo shoot done
with these two expositional models from
the state of Argentina that produces the
best wines in the country, and one of the
best in the world.
When Mayra Dominguez and Francisco
Granata finished their work as models for
The lens of Lucy Lencinas, sitting at the
shade of some huge trees and a tasting a
10 years old Malbec, we began to do this
interview.
This is the first time that SEXY MAGA-
ZINE X2 portraits two model in its
cover.
How do you guys feel knowing that
you are the first ones that start this
style in a magazine published in United
States and followed by so many readers
around the world.
Francisco:
Honestly, I was very surprised
when I heard that we would make the
cover of an important magazine and not
only that, the magazine is from another
country. All of this means that when you
do things right and put your heart out; it is
reflected in your work, which was made
with such care and dedication.
Mayra:
When I hear the proposal, I did
not hesitate for a second, I thought that
was one of those wonderful opportunities
that occur only once in life. It is some-
thing I always dreamed to do and be able
to show the sexy and sensual part of me,
which I have always had kept to my self
because I am part of a closed-minded
society.

show the woman who lives in me, I found
the idea extremely attractive, and some-
thing that had nothing to do with what I
had done so far. It came at the right time in
my life, when I needed a change, finally,
to be myself and break the mold.
Tell us about your career in the mod-
eling world. For how long have you
being modeling and what have you done
so far?
Mayra:
I started professionally at 14 in
a well-known modeling agency from
here in Mendoza. I clearly remember that
I used to steal makeup and high heels
from my mom. I would act in front of the
mirror, practicing thousand and a poses
and gestures. I would figure myself in
many scenarios, and got inspired from
your majestic Sophia Loren (well I went
out on a limb). I started professionally at
14 in small catwalks and then I ran for
a national competition called Super M.
that fact made the owner of the modeling
agency very upset because I did not men-
tioned to him. That gave me the encour-
aged I needed to become independent,
why somebody else had to decide on what
