Amado Mora was born in Ecua-
dor and attended the Art School
in Guayaquil. Amado, who is
known as the “Pachuco” of sur-
realism, has also studied other
forms of art like ceramic, metal
restoration, sculpture, Philosophy,
Psychology, Yoga, meditation,
dramatic arts.
Moreover, his liberal work of
art allows the observer to ques-
tion his masterpieces through
mental images and speculations.
Obviously, this liberalism is also
accompanied by his exceptional
personal values, witch are, in
turn, prominent by his extraordi-
nary altruism. It may be the rea-
son why –even though his color-
ful way of dressing up reveals a
fancy trends from 40’s and 50’s
known as “pachuco”– he is recog-
nized as a very generous person
with a very strong desire to share
and participate in the different
cultural and social environment
that are forced in his voyages as
an artist.
