ina Green, born November 10, 1971, is a native of Phila-

delphia, PA. Growing up, Tina dreamed of being a model and

would often read Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Ebony, and Essence

to feed her insatiable appetite for fashion. While she did model

for local designers and photographers as a teenager and young

adult, agents were intimidated by her height of 6 feet 1 inch

and repeatedly told her that she was too tall to model.

Resigning herself to the fact that modeling wasn’t in the cards

for her, Tina graduated from Murrell Dobbins High School in

1990 and later attended Temple University, receiving her PhD

in Biology in 2001, which led to her job in medical writing for

the last 14 years.

However, the fashion flame was never fully extinguished and,

in 2017, Tina decided to rekindle it by attending both acting

and modeling classes and going to casting calls. Since then, she

has appeared in the films Reigning onYou and Badland, as well

as the TV show The Americans and has become a published

model, a brand ambassador, and is contract model for NYC

designer SRC, Inc. Tina has been married twice, and has been

happily married to her second husband, Marcellus Green, for

11 years and has 6 children. She loves spending time with her

family, traveling, going to concerts, and is an advocate for an-

imals, women, and children.
