Melissa McCrann is a native Long Islander who began her
modeling career on the West Coast in San Diego.
She was approached by a talent scout while she was selling her na-
ture photography in a farmer’s market, which led to her signing
with a modeling agency. Melissa was soon modeling for the plus size
retail store Torrid, along with other promotional projects.
She branched out into small films and eventually was in a full length
independent horror feature, “The Evil Rises”. During her time in
California, Melissa also collaborated with Amazon Kindle and au-
thored five books. These include two books of poetry, a children’s
story, a photojournal, and a memoir, all of which can be found on
Melissa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music/Audio recording Engi-
neering, and spent several years in that industry before moving to
San Diego, and starting her modeling career.
She was a professional, classical clarinetist in a concert band, and
has performed at Carnegie Hall and Giant’s Stadium. Melissa re-
tired from her music career in 2012, and turned to nature photogra-
phy. This, in turn, led to a modeling career.
An avid horse enthusiast, Melissa was often spotted at the Del Mar
Turf Club on race days, and continues to ride since returning to
Long Island. Upon coming back to New York, Melissa has taken
advantage of all the Big Apple has to offer. She can often be found
checking out the nightlife of Manhattan, or simply having a chai
latte with her favorite group of people.
Melissa loves going to Central Park, or visiting Grand Central Ter-
minal, and Greenwich Village.
Melissa has recently become the Brand Ambassador for several on-
line boutiques and started up her Instagram page
She likes to give her followers the behind the
scenes scoop of her photo shoots, as well as the latest fashions that
she receives from her favorite retail partners.
Known for her professionalism, Melissa is highly sought after by
photographers for various types of shoots, and her portfolio con-
