elissa Rosales was the
runner up in the “Senorita
Hispanidad” pageant.
She also won the “Miss
Photogenic” award.
Miss Rosales was born in New Jersey
but proudly represents Puerto Rico
and El Salvador by nationality.
Melissa is currently finishing up her
undergrad studies at Saint Peters
University. Throughout her four years
in college, Melissa has received many
academic scholarships and inducted
in several honor societies. In May, she
will be receiving her bachelor’s degree
in biology and will continue on to den-
tal school, her dream is to become an
Orthodontist.
On her free time, Melissa enjoys go-
ing to bookstores and losing herself in
a good book. She also likes to dance,
model, watch movies, and collect
crystals. She enjoys participating in
cultural events and fashion shows.
Melissa’s greatest aspiration is to
travel the world and be of service to
others.
She loves to smile and loves life. She
believes that happiness and good
energy must be spread anywhere she
goes. Melissa’s words to live by are
from her favorite poet Maya Angelou,
“You will face many defeats in your
life, but never let yourself be defeat-
ed”.
