Sonia Elizabeth Ceron Ortega
“Known as Sonia Ortega” (Eli)
Born December 16, 1972, in the city
of San Salvador, El Salvador in Cen-
tral America.
Sonia Ortega is a self-taught paint-
er; she had an inclination for the
Arts since she was little. She had her
first painting class at the age of 10 at
the Cultural Center in San Salvador.
Her love for art did not stop even
with the conflicts of her country, her
dreams continued for this Salva-
dorian artist so she can perfect her
artistic talent. At the age 11, she
discovers that she likes the lyrics
and she started writing poetry to get
to the magic world of pen and paper.
She got her bachelor of architecture
at the University Albert Einstein
in Lomas de San Francisco in San
Salvador, El Salvador.
In 2001, she emigrated to the United
States and other phase started for
Mrs. Sonia Elizabeth, which open
many doors to let her express herself
as an artist. Since 2004, it began her
experience in the world of the arts
and she started to be part of the
following organizations: Metaphor,
Active 20-30 Club NY, The Lair of
the Poet, Soul Radio Show on Radio
Formula Our Land, Walk for Breast
Cancer Hispanic and founder of In-
ternational Art Focus and also now
she is a community organizer.
