Central Park.
It’s really just so beautiful during the fall. Go for
a run around the Jackie O Reservoir, picnic in
Sheep’s Meadow, and venture up to the top of the
park, too, and hang out in the foliage in the North
Woods. Whatever you choose to do,
it’s all so autumnal.
Wander through The Great Jack
O’Lantern Blaze in Croton-on-Hud-
son.
Nicknamed “The Blaze,” it’s an Octo-
ber display of more than 7,000 hand-
carved jack-o-lantern, and it’s about
an hour outside the city.
Spend an afternoon strolling around Brook-
lyn’s Prospect Park.
The park in the morning is particularly clear
and gorgeous, but really, it’s insane at any
point of the day.
See a local
sports game.
The last
home game
at Yankee
Stadium
is on October 1st, and the last one at Citi Field is October 4th. The
Brooklyn Nets start their basketball season at Barclays on October
28th, the Knicks start theirs at Madison Square Garden on October
29th. The New York Jets’ first game is September 13th at MetLife
Stadium, and the Giants start on the 20th.
